AGENTIC AI: From Automation to Ecosystem Transformation - IMRAN®

AGENTIC AI: From Automation to Ecosystem Transformation - IMRAN®

(Part 1 of a 4-part series to help guide you to maximum success with Agentic AI).

The Opportunity

Imagine this: You used to spend days mapping out every step of a business process—requisition, vendor selection, invoice processing, payment execution. Now, you simply set a goal, and agentic AI orchestrates the workflow, adapting in real time, escalating exceptions, and freeing your team for strategic work. That’s not science fiction; it’s happening right now in boardrooms and server rooms across the globe.

The New Reality: Agentic AI in Action

At AWS re:Invent 2025, the buzz was all about agentic AI. AWS unveiled new partner categories, agent builder tools, and marketplace innovations, all designed to help enterprises deploy autonomous solutions with just a few clicks. Their partnership with OpenAI—a $38B deal—signals a new era of scale and sophistication. Microsoft, meanwhile, is integrating agentic AI into everything from Windows to Azure, positioning Copilot as the productivity engine for the modern enterprise. Google’s Gemini 3 and Vertex AI Agent Builder are pushing boundaries, making it easier than ever to build agentic solutions for any industry.

But it’s not just the tech giants. Enterprises are using agentic AI to automate contract negotiation, create purchase orders, process invoices, and execute payments. The results? Cycle times slashed by 50–70%, up to 80% touchless processing, and teams reallocated to higher-value tasks. In developer workflows, agents scaffold UI flows, adapt component libraries, and even push code fixes based on customer error reports. Prompt-to-prototype cycles now take minutes, not weeks.

Why Partnerships Matter

Here’s something every CIO should know: The winners in agentic AI are building alliances. OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Stripe, Shopify, NVIDIA—these are the names shaping the standards, stitching together fragmented tools, and controlling the future of agentic commerce. Ecosystem fragmentation is real, but strategic partnerships are the glue that holds it all together.

The Challenges (and How to Win)

Of course, it’s not all smooth sailing. Data access wars, trust and accuracy in AI recommendations, payment security, and protocol fragmentation are top of mind for every tech leader. Success requires robust governance, compliance oversight, and new roles—AI supervisors, governance leads, and professionals fluent in Python, RPA, ERP, and AI ethics.

The Leader’s Perspective

Having spent exactly 4 decades in enterprise tech, I’ve seen automation evolve from static scripts to dynamic, goal-seeking agents. What separates agentic AI from the client-server and cutting edge cloud platforms I helped build at great companies like Microsoft and Cisco is intent. These agents don’t just follow instructions—they reason, adapt, and collaborate across ecosystems. Early adopters are already reporting 10–25% EBITDA gains, and the momentum is only building.

Ready to Transform?

Agentic AI isn’t just a technology upgrade—it’s a new operating model. If you’re ready to see how agentic AI can stop just automating tasks and start executing goals in your organization, let’s connect for a 1-hour intro brief. My organizations evertrac.co and cloud9global.net are designed to help you navigate this transformation—whether you’re piloting agentic workflows, building developer tools, or reimagining the future with quantum and telematics. Visit my LinkedIn profile http://linkedin.com/in/imran for more insights and message me to schedule a strategy session.

What's Next?

In my next article, I’ll tackle the critical challenge every leader faces: building trust and governance into agentic AI systems. We’ll dive deep into how organizations can ensure reliability, compliance, and observability as they scale autonomous agents—so stay tuned!

Secret Security Samsung SmartThings Snap Screenshot Selfie - IMRAN®

Secret Security Samsung SmartThings Snap Screenshot Selfie - IMRAN®

This screenshot, taken from a livestream of a decade-old Samsung SmartThings security camera at my Long Island, New York home, highlights the surprising longevity of security camera technology. Even after 10+ years, the image maintains impressive clarity and rich colors—without any edits!

At the forefront is my pool table, casually draped with a red shirt, adding a lived-in feel to the scene. Positioned behind it, my large surround speakers frame two recliners, including a luxurious Panasonic massage chair—perfect for sinking into deep relaxation. To the left, the entryway stands as an inviting threshold, while the far-right area serves as both a sitting space and a hub for musical composition.

This image reminds me how far digital cameras have come—from the early days of photography to today’s compact yet powerful devices that achieve similar quality for $30 or less.

Need Talented Hardware & Software Electronics Engineers For Different Types Of Projects - IMRAN™

As a Pakistani-American and UET Lahore Electrical Engineer, I know how many brilliant minds, even technical geniuses, were just in my own class of 80-Electrical. So, I always think of Pakistanis as well as UET students or recent grads first when I have ideas where I may need to hire someone for side projects or new ideas I want to develop into something more.

Sometimes I need to hire someone for a short project, sometimes longer. But I would also love to find one or more very capable electrical/electronics engineers I can use regularly, not fulltime, but part-time on different projects and ideas. Could that be You?

Ideally you would be great at designing and prototyping innovative new things in side projects for me. That takes more than just having a degree. (After all, even I have that. 😊). Here are some of the skills I would require.

You have great command of English, total ability to hear an idea and technical requirements, and design the hardware / prototype and / or write the middleware / software or web apps. By that I mean more than "Oh I can do responsive website and SEO for you!"

A full understanding of intellectual property concepts and areas (including patent, trademark, copyright, and licensing) is essential. I repeat: Knowing about what patents are, and what is needed to get one issued by USPTO or Pakistan PTO, is absolutely essential.

The following are skills specific to various projects that I do NOT expect any one person to have. So I may need different people for different projects related to:

Electrical/Electronics Engineering

- Wireless / Home Automation and integration to other IoT systems, including interface and middleware. Nothing massively complex, but being able to make seemingly unrelated things interface and communicate. (e.g. …this is just an EXAMPLE... if I wanted to have a doorbell ringing outside the house to trigger a dot matrix printer to print Hello World, then he or she would be able to make that happen. Again, this is an EXAMPLE, not an actual idea!)

- Mobile Phone (iOS and Android) expertise to design accessories for Apple/Samsung etc. devices with apps to use that accessory. (e.g. design an extra external camera accessory for smartphones and software to capture data from the external and built-in device together). Only for EXAMPLE check out the FLIR InfraRed external camera for iPhones. (www.flir.com/flirone/ios-android/ )

- Android open source operating system customization (e.g. and this is only an EXAMPLE.... to customize Android for an IMRAN-Phone that just changes the screen display based on location and temperature).

- Web Apps. not websites, development expertise. For EXAMPLE, think more about building FaceBook the SYSTEM not just offering to do FaceBook’s index.php page design.

- BlockChain, with knowledge of micropayments and BitCoin, smart contracts, digital currency.

Patent Drawing With Mechanical Engineering A Plus

- Patent Drawing EXPERIENCE of actually FILED patent(s), not just wasting my time by saying “I can draw plan, elevation, side view!” or that “I can do anything in SketchUp or other 3D or illustration program.” You need to ACTUALLY KNOW and have experience of having MADE the very SPECIFIC types of PATENT DRAWINGS required by the USPTO. Please do NOT waste my time if you do not know what I am talking about specifically here. This person can be a NON-ENGINEER or non-Electrical engineer, or even a talented teenager.

If you already do this type of work through sites like Fiverr, etc. that would make life simpler. I will need you to sign NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) and agreements to ensure that the intellectual property is protected and that you will neither re-use it nor use it yourself nor let anyone else have or use or copy from it. If interested, write in detail on what your areas of expertise are, what kind of time you are available, and rates. You may contact me via: http://imran.com/contactus.php but make sure to use an accurate and valid email address. To make sure your message is found and not lost in spam blockers, leave a comment below also to let me know. Let's see what great projects we can do together!

Spectrum's DialUp Age Service & Stone Age CRM - IMRAN™

Spectrum's DialUp Age Service & Stone Age CRM - IMRAN™

I had to tweet about the "Moronic #UXdesign POS #UserExperience Spectrum. Dead service.Stupid phone menu identifies my account from callerID but doesn't know what service I have!"

Even a caveman era CRM system would know I do not get any shitty service from Spectrum other than Internet, which is that lame asymmetrical 200/20.

Yet, their retarded CustomerService number (20 minutes to get a rep) lists through their various services I do NOT have to ask if I am calling about those. Retards.

Spectrum is shitty enough to make me give sleazy Frontier another chance for the symmetric speeds.

Driverless Cars Better Than Brainless Drivers - IMRAN™

Michigan is about to approve cars without drivers or steering wheels on its roads. Some people will worry. But a driverless car is better than cars with moron drivers, especially the ones I see everywhere in the USA, but especially in Florida or in NY on the Long Island Expressway.

You know the types of drivers I am talking about. The ones with a genetic inability to turn their fat neck to look over their shoulder, the ones without a brain capable of processing moving over from the fast/passing lane, or the ones without a decent upbringing to know now to be @a$$#0¬3$ on the road.

At least driverless cars will signal when turning or changing lanes, not hog the passing lane like a fat stupid obnoxious pig, or drift between lanes while texting. And I am being polite. LOL

Forget Public, Private & Hybrid, It Is Time To Reclassify Cloud Classifications

In my life is a private consultant to large clients and later also as an enterprise architect at the world's best software company in my day job, I have been trying to explain to people why Private/Public/Hybrid is not fully accurate in terms of Cloud classifications. (I am not even talking about Community Cloud in this post).

My position on Cloud is that we have Public, Private (including Hosted Private). and two more... What everyone calls Hybrid is what I say really should be called Parallel, and Hybrid should be the name given to a separate type.

By Parallel I am referring to companies using Private cloud for some functions, and Public cloud for other applications. There is likely no interaction between the two. The overall benefit is a compromise between the best of both Public and Private, in a sort of "weighted average" way.

What we SHOULD be calling Hybrid would be the case of enterprise architectures that span public and private clouds for one or a set of interoperating or integrated business applications. For example, if a firm uses private cloud for running its mission critical business application, but that application seamlessly also moves specific parts of its workload to and from a public cloud. Here is a rudimentary example. A stock trading firm uses its own high performance trading applications on its own private cloud platform.  But the private cloud hosted apps ship some parts of their work, e.g. less time critical analysis of large data sets, to a public cloud big data crunching services provider.

You can see that this has far deeper integration between private and public cloud uses and is clearly different from a company running all mission critical applications on a private cloud but, say, simply using outlook.com or gmail for business email. The latter is a good use of Parallel cloud computing.

Solar Eclipse By (No Space) Ship - IMRAN™

Animated GIF

The more things change, the more they remain the same. Or say they say. I remember in the early days of the Internet how animated GIFs were so popular because they were one of the few ways of showing movement or multiple images in the era of very limited bandwidth. As the Internet's largest use became web sites (in addition to email) animated GIFs tended to fall off the horizon, no pun intended. Now, suddenly they are all the rage again, for some time. Ironically, it is still not easy to make quality animated GIFs, or to share them. FaceBook does not let you upload them, but finally is letting you see them if they are linked from somewhere else. Flickr, that was sleeping while Instagram took over the masses' photo craze market, makes it possible to upload animated GIFs, but the last time I checked they will NOT display, unless you include a separate link to one of the other size versions that Flickr offers. That is why, even though I have been doing Internet video from the time the first release of QuickTime with my then amazing top of the line Apple PowerMac 110 AV, creating postage stamp sized video movies. That has given way to my moving into creating some of the first 4K 3D videos, in addition to other things like time lapse music videos, and more in photography, like 360 and 360x360 spherical panoramas, etc. But Animated GIFs were not a priority. As I recently saw this cruise ship leaving the Port Of Tampa approaching the great ball of fire we call the Sun, as it set over the Tampa Bay horizon, I took several photos. They were taken handheld, not on a tripod, so they could not be totally accurately framed, but I managed to make this as my first official animated GIF. Now the question is to see how many people can see it on Blogger, and on other platforms. Imran

i/Robot Vs i(Need3)Robot(s)! - IMRAN™

Cada vez mais medo desses robôs...

When the lapdog henchmen treasonous military officials under dead dog dictator General Zia had me arrested and court martial(ed) for being a student leader opposed to his CIA-backed, US-funded, fundamentalist-creating, government, I was among several people thrown in Kot Lakhpat Prison, in Lahore, Pakistan… of course after being beaten up quite well by 6 cops, sentenced ostensibly to 2 years hard labor without any defense allowed by some two-bit colonel in Summary Military Court (SMC37), shackled and thrown off a truck on reaching prison…the amazing thing was how my mind immediately started looking forward to making that a positive experience. I immediately decided I would request 3 things to be sent to me.

These would be sheets of paper and some pens so I could write a book (still not done since 1982 LOL), learn to play #music (with the ground breaking Casio VL-1) and, yes, a Rubik's Cube so I could learn to solve it. In the decades since, I wrote a lot but did not actually publish a book, I made a music CD but did not actually learn to play piano or guitar, but one thing I did not even get to try much... the Cube.

Good thing I waited so long, as you can see from this video, when even a rudimentary robot can effortlessly solve it. Auto-Melody and Accompaniment & Tune programs already exist in music, making untalented people like me sound tolerable. Now all I have to do is wait for the one that will take all my writings, organize them and publish a couple of books for me. LOL

Does Science Prevent Or Prove The Existence Of God? - IMRAN™

"Afalaa Tatafakaroon". Will You Not Think? That is a line in the Holy ‪‎Quran‬.

I pray Oh God, Help Us Understand The Secrets Of Science & The Universe, So We Understand You!

I am sure other holy books have similar statements about using our minds. But for some reason, a lot that modern organized religions seem to be do is make people close their minds and blindly follow whatever some smooth talking preachers built up as 'The Truth' over the last few centuries. The truth is, we are far from understanding the ultimate truths of the ‪‎Universe‬.

I am sure you are among the many educated people who believe in ‪‎Science‬ but also believe in ‪‎God‬ the Omnipotent Creator. "Science Increasingly Makes the Case for God" is an interesting article though it does not have enough information to fully live up to its headline, but it is a useful point of reference in The Wall Street Journal.

I've always believed that not only is the truth out there, but also that is it not going to be one or other extreme of Science No God versus God No ‪‎Evolution‬ etc. Instead, it will be a combination or the two, or likely, even of things we do not even yet comprehend which do not fall under science or ‪‎religion‬.

The more I studied science and even ‪‎engineering‬, the more ridiculous it seemed to me to believe in pure random creation of the universe, purely randomly leading to ‪‎Earth‬'s creation, purely randomly leading to life and purely randomly leading to humans.

How many times do I have smash some rubber, glass, steel, carbon fiber, and plastic together to create a perfect ‪‎Ferrari‬? I refuse to believe that any of my beloved beautiful loves and their gifts of unconditional love submitted to me, or for that matter, the perfection of Charlize Theron, are random accidents. ;-)

Nor do I blindly believe that some texts collected over the last 2000 years when people did not even understand the nature of science, are somehow the most accurate depictions of the Universe.

They are powerful books with stories to help us ideally be better human beings (if you take out the parts about killing others that almost all the books of the time command).

No, people, the earth is more than 5000 years old, just like the sun does NOT revolve around the earth. There IS evolution that takes place and genetic changes and mutations that are being recorded by science based on our current state of life and the planet. But, no, evolution is likely not the source of the perfect imperfection we call human life.

In their insistence of There Is No God, it seems that even supposedly people gets almost as rabidly fanatical as any Bible-thumping persons who believe that God created the Earth 5000 years ago or something like that, refuting evolution, while believing a man could walk on water and bring the dead back to life, and more.

Many believe in ‪‎angels‬ too. The truth is likely a combination of things is a blend of the two and maybe even more. Maybe God is the Creator of this Universe, as the grand designer of his project... maybe Angels are his engineers, and project managers,... maybe the day he shuts down the project for recycling is the day of judgement.

But, then, who does he work for? Who created HIM? And what giant box does the Universe fit inside that may be part of a larger ‪‎Multiverse‬, which may be one of many in an ‪‎Omniverse‬... and so on.

Knowing the infinite depth of our ignorance, even our inability to fathom the concepts that would entail, is another of the gifts of the Creator, to use our MINDS to even measure what we do NOT know.

We should not just blindly parrot things we were religiously brainwashed into believing as ‪‎children‬. We must, instead, try to figure out the mysteries of science, if we are to ever figure out the mystery of the universe, which in turn may help us get closer to understanding the mystery of the most supreme scientist of all, God!

What do you think?

BUX: Apple's Falling Reliability & Incredibly Inconsistent UX On 2 Identical Brand New iPhone 6S+ - IMRAN™

The BUX Stops Here. Bad User Experiences are everywhere. I give examples, and name names, even of companies I love.

The goal is to inform users of the problems that go on for years, to call attention of these companies to their lousy design or quality control choices, and to help UX designers and product managers improve both the customer experience and the quality of their loyal user's experience.

Here is an example from a company I generally love, Apple. But I have been griping about the constantly falling reliability of the Apple user experience even from when Steve Jobs was still alive. It seemed like getting it out the door even at 90% reliability became acceptable instead of at least aiming for 99%.

Under Tim Cook, and especially with the worst OS upgrade I have ever experienced from Apple with El Capitan, and parallel bug nightmares on iOS 9 show that it seems getting things out the door even at 80% is now acceptable at Apple.

The bug I am discussing today is a problem in November 2015, 3.5 years after similar problems have been discussed on Apple's own discussions forum in the past (2012 for example).

I have 2 BRAND NEW iPhone 6S+ 128GB phones, 100% identical in everything, including carrier and even color,... everything except for their device names.

I even shot identical photographs with them (to use in 3D photos). I connected both devices to iPhoto. The first one's photos ALL came in without ANY problem. The second one's import into iPhoto fails over and over, and the iPhone even disappears from the app and has to be unplugged and replugged in for iPhoto/Mac (Image Capture included) to recognize the device again.

Even Image Capture failed to import the images either all together or even one by one. I even switched to the cable the other phone's photos came over fine on. Nope. Everything failed. Emailing myself dozens of large image and video files was not an option as some discussions mention.

I even turned Bluetooth off as others had found to work in past similar bugs. (That by the way is another reason I consider having to play such games of twisters to get things to work making the Mac user today sometimes seem like being a Windows user).

I did manage to send the photos from the iPhone to the Mac over AirDrop and they ALL imported into iPhoto just fine. There were NO problems with ANY of the photos. Plugging the phone back into the Mac and iPhoto even correctly shows that the photos on the phone now already exist in iPhoto. Meaning the problem was NOT with the photos at all.

Yet the actual routine import of photos failed and the user experiences were smooth vs nightmare on two IDENTICAL devices bought literally the same week. That was the kind of thing you expected to happen with two lousy Windows PCs where they would act differently and inconsistently. But now it is a common Mac thing.

I have been an Apple user since the start of the platform but the more Windows-nightmare-experience-like it becomes the more I shake my head, and the more I can't stand when people think pointing out the falling reliability of the OS releases and apps UX to be some sort of Apple bashing.

I was able to workaround my problem this time, but the problem's root cause is still unknown. That is why I am sharing it here so others may shed light on it if they have ideas. And to try to wake up Apple's quality and UX teams before loyal users start seeing Apple as just another vendor to choose from, not a company we identified proudly with the quality products and consistent high quality user experience of.

What have been your bad user experiences with devices, products or services?

Love The Cloud With No Limits, But Know Your Limits!

I just read an article on Forbes' site where the writer correctly argued that despite the cost of cloud storage being nearly zero (who can compete with "Free!" ?) he likes to use personal networked storage at home for his data.

I agree with the points he makes about why using personal storage is still the better option versus cloud storage. But I disagree on the use of Network Attached Storage at home. No matter what device I have tried, no NAS at home comes close to the speed of a Thunderbolt, Firewire or USB3 external hard drive when doing regular and incremental backups of my Macs and MacBook Pros, as I do.

Coincidentally, one of the biggest problems I have with cloud storage is that despite buying cool utilities like ExpanDrive. which mount my Google, Box, DropBox OneDrive, FTP and other cloud storage on my Macs's desktops as local drives, none of them is writable from backup apps like Carbon Copy Cloner or Time Machine.

Additionally, the time it would take for my backups to complete even over my 75/75Mbps connections is another huge deterrent.

I personally carry 2 portable drives (one ThunderBolt and one USB3) with my laptops when I travel, while having multiple clones and Time Machine backups at both homes in NY and FL. Each is obviously encrypted with the highest level security, or I would be trading reliable backup with high risk of theft.

No matter what you do and what type of data you have, whether on a phone or a computer, you MUST backup your data, if you value your time, and your data. As Clint Eastwood would say, A man's gotta know his limits. So does a woman.

Can you afford to lose all the data on your device? Pictures? Messages? Emails? Contacts? How much spare time did God give you that you'd want to take on the burden of re-gathering all the contacts you have? And what about the photos? You do have them backed up somewhere, right?

Don't tell me you are relying on FaceBook as your personal album storage? What if someone hacks your account and deletes all your albums? Even worse, what if the FB policy Nazis don't like something you post and delete your account?

By the way, did you know that FaceBook turns your gorgeous 1-15MB photos taken with anything from a cell phone to a fancy camera into pure-crap-minimum-tolerable-quality 72 dpi files of merely 100-200KB? Good luck printing those if you ever want to in the future. Even a USB stick or two are so cheap these days. Not using at least a Thumb Drive is Dumb!

At the very least use something like Flickr, that stores the images at full size and gives you 1TB free. But check your security settings so none of your private photos become public. (Well, it is OK to give me access to see them. Purely for my giving you security advice of course. LOL).

Finally, remember, One is never enough, and as I also always say, Once Every Night isn't enough either. :-) I learned a long time ago that when a laptop drive dies, it will happen on the same day an external backup drive will also die ...and the backup of the backup will be unmountable on that same day. ;-)

So, backup on more than one system (external drive, thumb drive, CD/DVD/Blu Ray, cloud), with more than one method (data only, full clone, incremental timestamped backups), in more than one place (your home, your parents' home, across the country).

One day (or night) you will thank me for it!
