Stunning Sunset & Dusk Across Tampa Bay On Perfect Boating & Beach Walking Late Autumn Day - IMRAN™ As Kennedy and K2 looked north and south respectively, the sunset on Tampa Bay at Apollo Beach was stunning. I looked east and watched the DJI M3P drone facing west. I clicked for it to take a rapid-fire sequence of shots. I used the set to create this HDR (high dynamic range) image. The clouds to the top left are overexposed. Adjusting the color balance just for them would make the beach and the living subjects of the photo too dark. Or it would turn a fun photo into an editing chore. So, here it is anyway. A few gentle waves rolled at my feet, as a nearby boat and a not too distant sailboat likely had mariners also savoring this perfect moment. K2 & Kennedy Backed By GSD Shadow In Indoor Portrait At Home Upstairs - IMRAN™ K2, the “puppy” on the left, is turning 4 in exactly one month. That exact date is also the 5-year anniversary of my older rescued German Shepherd Kennedy’s coming home here to Apollo Beach, Florida with me. Kennedy was neglected and weak before I got him. But he filled out to be the handsome, strong, and gentle dog that he is. K2 was named after the mountain in my motherland Pakistan, which is the second-tallest behind Mount Everest but growing faster. It will likely surpass Everest in height after around a quarter million years. I may not be around then. LOL. K2’s genetic report had also predicted him growing tall, taller than Kennedy. You can see that’s already happened. But Kennedy is now smaller but still alpha. It is really interesting to see how K2, who is very dominant with other dogs, defers to Kennedy. As both dogs sat for a Saturday evening indoors portrait upstairs, I took this unedited & unfiltered photo. They literally pose until a picture is taken. Love x Art + Tech x Action / No Talent = No Excuse - IMRAN™ I was just six and a half years old when I realized how absolutely lacking in drawing talent I was. I was in Karachi, where I had moved at age six to live with my maternal grandmother in my parents’ Karachi home. My parents were in remote parts of Punjab early in Dad’s career and there were literally no real schools in some of those areas. It was the Class 5 final exam at Christ The King School, in Karachi, when I caught the measles. So, I had to stay home and try to study thanks to my aunt Parveen being dedicated to the mission she had been given by my mom. She is the one who literally MADE me study…. of course much to my annoyance in those early years when I would have preferred to be watching TV. LOL. My mom’s older sister, late Nasreen, had brought me a paint kit. It had paints and brushes, and there was a painting of a photo of a young girl likely shown in the English countryside. I was supposed to draw the image, and then paint it in. Needless to say, if the girl in the picture was a real person and saw my “painting” of her, she, even as the 6-10 years old she was in the picture, would have had no hesitation stabbing me with the sharp paint brushes that had so clearly exposed my lack of talent. And that lack of ability to drawn and paint has not changed. Fortunately, over the years, photography, writing, music, and other creative outlets kept me satisfied. But, ever since digital tools became available, and every few years when I would buy some paints and supplies on an impulse, I have dabbled, literally, in mixed media and digital art a little. This past holiday weekend I was trying to do as many of the things that are on my 300-items list of To-Dos and interests that I never get time for. But I was determined. Thought For Food: What’s The Least Used Part Of Your House? - IMRAN™ I don’t cook, and I often eat out whether alone or with loved ones. So my dining rooms and dining tables tend to not be used for actual dining regularly. 😃 In my blessed NY home of 30 years my full-glass dining-table is actually covered with piles of about 2000 books & magazines. It’s a miracle it hasn’t shattered under the load. Every NY trip I browse and read about 100 as I eat or just flip through them. but then a new supply arrives. The magazines are winning the battle for space. 😂 Thankfully I have more space in my gratitude-filled Florida home. Plus, I don’t receive much mail and only a few magazines here. So, the dining table here is far less used, sometimes used as a temporary place for my cameras and tech toys. I didn’t even bother to change the not-my-style colors the previous occupants had it ten years ago! But, in general, I’ve stuck to my resolve to avoid making it a massive horizontal library. I usually eat at the kitchen counter, where I have an Apple iPad Pro, a Microsoft laptop, and a Neat vertical Teams frame. That way I can multitask and attend parallel meetings … even as I gulp down but still enjoy whatever food God has blessed me with. I avoid doing that “mini-office” cruelty to this dining room. If I have made a nice steak or had some great Japanese meal delivered, that kind of meal I’ll savor on the dining table, simple and sparse as it is. Sometimes though I’ll just mix things up a bit, to change some colors and add some variety. I just took some random pictures of my current mood and theme for it today. Just A Simple Home (Un)Cooked Meal - IMRAN™ Just kidding on all fronts. I don’t cook so it’s both not-cooked and uncooked. Nothing simple about Japanese foods like sushi and speciality rolls. But they are easy to order at home as cooked or uncooked as you want. Of course, wasabi, ginger, great Kikkoman soy sauce, and a bubbly Pepsi are essential to my enjoyment of it. Japanese, Pakistani, Pakistani-Chinese, and French are among my favorite cuisines. I had no time for breakfast or lunch because it was one of the most Manic Monday days I’ve had in a long time. Another Aerial Picture Perfect Chill Canines Tranquil Tuesday Winterish Windy Stunning Sunset Terrific Tampa Bay Blessed Dockside Delight - IMRAN™ It was a windy almost winter-like cold day on Tampa Bay today. The dogs accompanied me to the dock to catch a sunset and see some dolphins (video later). I had realized what a gorgeous sunset the cloud patterns to the west were going to create. As the DJI M3P drone took off, I had it shoot a bracket of 5 rapid-fire photos. The drone combined them in-flight to create this gratitude and magic filled selfie and portrait with the perfect sunset as a backdrop. I polished up the HDR (high dynamic range) in Adobe Lightroom Classic & Photoshop, and added my watermark. Can you see where it is? They’re naturals. I was literally walking back home from a quick walk. As I looked over my shoulder to see where they were, I realized it was such a PAWlaroid moment. I thought for sure one or both would move in the time I pulled my iPhone out and turned on the camera. But they both held their poses perfectly still until I had clicked. The awesome weekend weather and colors of Tampa Bay waters, sky, and palm trees made a perfect background.
