Hope Inspiring Resplendent Roses & Blossoms At Blessed Home Long Island, New York, Day Before My Birthday 2012 - IMRAN™ A dozen years ago before I penned these words in 2024, the rose bushes at my blessed home on Long Island, New York, were in full, glorious bloom. It was the early summer of 2012, the day before my 50th birthday. The tornadoes and droughts of total economic meltdown, brought on by the policies of Republican President George W. Bush which enriched the super-wealthy with one trillion dollars of tax cuts, had wreaked havoc on my life as on millions of ordinary individuals, families, and entire towns. The next few years were spent on surviving, recovering, and rebuilding. Even then it was a rocky road. By the time 2012 rolled in, after a labyrinthine journey of heart-sinking troughs, fleeting peaks, and unexpected drops into new valleys, life began to hint at a promising change ahead. I had to remind myself that life’s most exquisite blooms often come accompanied by the piercing thorns of reality. The key is to persistently tend to one’s garden of dreams, rooting it in unshakeable faith, nurturing it with the water of hope, showering it with the rain of love, fortifying it with the grains of gratitude, and ceaselessly illuminating it with the lights of confidence, and perseverance. No matter the adversities you face, remember, they are but temporary. You possess the strength to surmount them. Never let go of your dreams. Never relinquish your authentic self. Within you lies an indomitable spirit. You are capable of blooming despite the thorns. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy & His Love of Jet Ski Rides To Beer Can Island, Tampa Bay, Florida- IMRAN™ My precious rescued German Shepherd, Kennedy, was a Valentine’s Day gift in 2019. When he first came to his forever home with me in Apollo Beach that February, he was utterly terrified of any form of water, regardless of weather or temperature. His unknown past trauma from water was so severe that even if I ventured into the swimming pool, let alone tried to coax him in, he would seek protection in a corner next to the barbecue grill to avoid the water. However, within a few weeks of feeling safe and loved, he became so enamored with the water that he felt compelled to wade into the waters of Tampa Bay daily, multiple times daily, every day of life. Even more delightful, he overcame his fear and began to enjoy jet ski rides (even at speeds as fast as 20 mph), standing next to me in the footwell. His favorite activity when we would arrive to Beer Can Island was to greet everyone - and roll in the sand… all while still wearing his life jacket. This incredible joy filed memory created is from June 29, 2019 exactly five years ago today. Kennedy & K2 Sons Of Beaches Early Morning First Day Of Spring 2024 - IMRAN™ There are always life lessons in everything we witness - even if we do not know it right at that moment. The ebb and flow of tides, and time, wait for no one. Fate can spring a surprise on us in any season. I am not an early morning person. March 19 was the first day of spring, 2024 when I happened to be awake for 24 hours. So, I went for a walk with my precious German Shepherd Dog Kennedy, and always delightful still-puppy-ish K2. We found ourselves savoring the very low Tampa Bay tide at the beach outside my blessed home in Apollo Beach. Both dogs enjoyed running around on the wet & cold sand, because it was still very windy winterish weather. Then, Kennedy sat to savor the scene, as he always loved doing - his ears still alert for any sound or command from me. Even the playful K2, who had just turned 4 the previous month, seemed to be “growing up” - and learning to sit and enjoy nature like Kennedy. WWW: Wit, Wisdom, Wordplay - What Apple Roadmap? - IMRAN™ I am a citizen of MacWorld, MacUser, MacLover, and MacAddict in every MacWeek since 1984, if you recall the great legacy Mac magazines' references. I have remained loyal to the Mac even though I love working at Microsoft. (Ironically, in Pakistan I also became a Microsoft user in 1985 or so, when it released Mac software!) So, this comment which I posted on a Mac news item in March 2023 or so was not based on where I work. It expressed how frustrated I feel as a MacOS user, especially as a Mac desktop user, for literally 40 years. Like many others, I feel that Apple has become financially incredibly successful but less innovative under the current management. The worst-ever Mac model I ever bought was around 1991, two terribly underpowered Mac II LC II desktops. The poor OS could not even finish redrawing a folder window if you had a few hundred items saved in a folder which you double clicked on! You literally would have had to do a hard reboot, and start from scratch -- because it would go into that process right on boot-up trying to open previously open windows! Fast forward nearly four decades -- and that dishonor of being the worst current Mac now belongs to the barely-usable base-model Mac Mini, IMHO. To be fair, every Mac I ever bought has been the toppest-mostest-ofest-thest-linest. You get the idea. Then, why did I get this low end model? Because, thanks to terrible product management, it was the only one Apple was selling in its stores when I had to get one in an emergency. (What emergency - my top of the line MacBook Pro had gone for warranty repairs a SECOND time for more than 2 weeks! Talk about a decline in reliability also.) I do not expect the most expensive models to be in stock at all times at any company's stores. But to have the lowest, worst performing, so-called "unified memory" jar of molasses, no-expansion-possible, base model as the only one at all stores even within a 100 miles was just poor product management, or understanding of one's own platform, IMHO. Sadly, that lack of anything exciting on the original computer which hooked me, the Mac desktop, remains true even now. That is more than one year after I made the snide comment below. What do you think? Doesn't the Mac desktop line need some Apple love .... and innovation? © 2023-2024 IMRAN™ #Apple #IMRAN #Microsoft #innovation #CustomerExperience #productmanagement #brands #branding #quality #UserExperience #performance #retail #memories #history #PakistanWWW: Wit, Wisdom, Wordplay - What Apple Roadmap? - IMRAN™ I am a citizen of MacWorld, MacUser, MacLover, and MacAddict in every MacWeek since 1984, if you recall the great legacy Mac magazines' references. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy & His Love Of Exploring New Worlds - IMRAN™ It was an early morning in late April, 2021. Kennedy, my incredible German Shepherd Dog, was with the puppy K2 and me. We came upon this unusual sight of moss covered rocks along the shoreline of Tampa Bay past my blessed home. I was squatting on the wet sand and slippery rocks to capture some interesting perspectives with the iPhone. Kennedy’s gentle sophistication and natural explorer nature were memorialized in this one instant as he came into frame just as I clicked. When ‘Stunning’ Falls Short: A Tampa Bay Florida Sunset at Apollo Beach - IMRAN™ I captured six handheld photos of this early-May 2024 sunset with the Nikon D850. In the first frame, a partial image of a pelican appears next to my name watermark—marked (drum roll) above the water on the right. The photo-stitching software had to handle different exposures from the various frames, resulting in some color banding where they overlap. Yet, regardless of perspective, the word ‘stunning’ hardly does justice to this sunset and the many others I’ve been fortunate to capture at my home on Tampa Bay. A Dog's Life: Dogs In Rearview Mirrors Are Closer (To Our Hearts) Than They Appear - IMRAN™
A Dog's Life: Dogs In Rearview Mirrors Are Closer (To Our Hearts) Than They Appear - IMRAN™
Kennedy, my precious German Shepherd Dog, taught me so much about life.
We all have to face the last sunset of our lives one day. We can only hope to learn from our dogs. To remain stoic and brave, to retain our dignity and smile, and be grateful for all the adventures on the roads of life we shared.
No matter how far back in the rearview mirrors of cars or memories of life our precious dogs seem, they are forever closer to our hearts than they appear, even when they are gone.

Making Music & Memories At Columbia University Manhattan New York Apartment 35 Years Ago Today - IMRAN™
Making Music & Memories At Columbia University Manhattan New York Apartment 35 Years Ago Today - IMRAN™
Some things never change. My lack of talent in learning to play music. My taking selfies. My still having this necktie that my late beloved mom had bought for me 40 years ago!
My Yamaha B200 synth keyboard. Even my Atari ST computer from the 1980s. And that Columbia Business School textbook. It is among ALL my books from that time I still retain. They are all still at my blessed home on Long Island, New York.
Being a Gemini, and wanting two of everything, has not changed. You can see I had two computers even in 1989, and two monitors. Heck, you can even see two of me, if you see my reflection in one of the monitors, which I still have. The monitor. I am sure I do not have that same reflection anymore, but I have a lot more reflections on life!
I do take care of my things. Even that wall poster from the New York City Tourism + Conventions' “I ❤️ New York” tourism promotion campaign, titled “New York Is Music”, from 1989 is still intact in Pakistan. My mom had it framed for me.
What did change is clearly me having far more fat and far less hair. But I remain blessed and grateful for an incredible journey. No one could have lived a fuller life than I have, from the day I was born until today - and God willing on every day - until it will be time for the grand finale of my life, when my music must fade out. Thank you for all the love all along the way.

Are you ready to live the life you dream of? © 2012-2024 IMRAN™Hope Inspiring Resplendent Roses & Blossoms At Blessed Home Long Island, New York, Day Before My Birthday 2012 - IMRAN™ A dozen years ago before I penned these words in 2024, the rose bushes at my blessed home on Long Island, New York, were in full, glorious bloom. Can't See The Forest For The Seas - IMRAN™ This photo was captured twelve years and one month ago today. During my several months long drive along every mile of Florida coastline in 2012, in my search for what is now my Apollo Beach home, this was one of the beaches I stopped at along the journey. Sanibel is among the loveliest places in Florida. I just loved the dark tree stumps and the perfect blue colors of the water. The tree limbs' shades make this one of the few photos I will also post in Black & White as well as this color version. Let me know what you think. © 2012-2024 IMRAN™ #IMRAN #Florida #Sanibel #autobiography #travelogue #traveling #beach #beaches #seaside #trees #nature #tranquility Nikon D300 #memoriesCan't See The Forest For The Seas - IMRAN™ This photo was captured twelve years and one month ago today. Thought For Food: What Addiction To Japanese Food? - IMRAN™ What do you mean I have an addiction to Japanese food? I strongly disagree. OK, fine. I have an addiction to food in general, and Japanese specialty rolls and sashimi in particular. Not only is it great tasting, it also looks good, and is fun to photograph. Salmon is my favorite fish, raw as well as grilled. This is a different order from a different restaurant also not too far from me. © 2024 IMRAN™ #IMRAN #food #foodie #Japanese #sushi #sashimi #cuisine #eating #dining #lifestyle #bokeh #3D #gratitude #ApolloBeach #Florida #restaurant #lifestyle #salmon #tuna #avocado #humorThought For Food: What Addiction To Japanese Food? - IMRAN™ What do you mean I have an addiction to Japanese food? Ever Worse Managed Southwest Airlines Sends Promo Emails Near End Of Offer Period - IMRAN™ Sends Promo Emails Near End Of Offer Period - IMRAN™ In general, I’m not a fan of hedge funds or corporate raider investor groups taking over companies. Nothing good usually comes out of it for the target company, its employees, or customers. However, I was happy to hear that one such group, Elliott Investment Management L.P., just acquired a massive stake in Southwest Airlines. The group is focused on removing the incompetent CEO and self-serving board at Southwest. On those people’s watch, I’ve gone from once loving Southwest Airlines to despising it. They turned a customer-service focused institution into a fiasco-addled, screwups-riddled, nightmare customer-experiences airline. That applies to everything from their planes, to the cramped seats, outdated systems, and even to mismanaged promotional offers. Here’s one example from literally right now. They’re running a promotional campaign from June 10-13. When did they send out the email? June 12! The date is even included in their email text, which is the day before the 50% promo ends. Thanks, but 100% no thanks. © 2024 IMRAN™ #IMRAN #SouthwestAirlines #travel #marketing #management #leadership #mismanagement #CX #CustomerService #CustomerExperience #consumersEver Worse Managed Southwest Airlines Sends Promo Emails Near End Of Offer Period - IMRAN™ Sends Promo Emails Near End Of Offer Period - IMRAN™ In general, I’m not a fan of hedge funds or corporate raider investor groups taking over companies. Tiara Condo Singer Island Former Florida Second Home Visit After 8 Years, 12 Years Ago - IMRAN™
Tiara Condo Singer Island Former Florida Second Home Visit After 8 Years, 12 Years Ago - IMRAN™
In my 35 years of American life, I have been blessed to have lived in Florida in parallel for about 20 of those years. My first "second home" in Florida was at this incredible building called Tiara Condo on the Atlantic Ocean, on Singer Island. I purchased it in 2003.
My condo was just a few floors below the rooftop spaceship like circular wraparound private restaurant and club. I sold it in 2004 and left early morning July 4th, 2004. I drove to Atlanta to be on CNN live that afternoon. And then drove on back to my New York home.
Soon after I sold, the Tiara was devastated by two separate hurricanes. A lot of people lost everything they had in those incidents. It took years to rebuild. But I was living and working in Miami in those years.
Eight years after I sold, I was blessed to be looking to buy another second-home. During that 2012 two-three months of driving every mile of Florida coastline, looking at possible places.
Obviously, my beloved Tiara condo was one of the places on that list. So, I was back there looking at mine, and other, condos. I also stuck around until dusk to experience that magic I loved at the start of this century.
I made this short video of the building, from the wide beach outside it. The magical Atlantic Ocean colors were still visible in the near-dark conditions. The pink clouds above were beautiful. Ironically, you can see the lights on in the condo I so loved.
Much that I loved the place and that feeling, the seller's asking price of $650,000 for a 2-bedroom condo did not make sense to me. So, I left one more time. Maybe I will return another day.
A dozen years after my visit, and a full 20 years after I sold my condo, I am sharing these magical memories and story. I hope you find it touching and inspiring.
