3 Bird Formation Flying Over Stunning Sunset Tampa Bay Florida - IMRAN™ (SOOC Panorama) Exactly 5 years ago today. Three birds flying in a straight arrow like formation from Ruskin towards eastern parts of Florida caught my attention. It was the first of June. I was mesmerized by this stunning sunset unfolding in front of me. As I snapped away with the Nikon D850, I was able to capture the 15 handheld photographs to compose this absolutely unedited panorama. I did add my name tag and auto-filled the white space at the top and bottom edge where stitching of handheld photos can leave gaps. Enjoy! The barely 12 inches tall butterfly bushes I had planted in 1995 had grown into 12 feet tall plants at my back decks. They really are magnets for butterflies. On some days it seems like a computer generated scene, when hundreds of these beautiful creatures are all over the plants. A Dog's Life: Action Movie Star Dog Kennedy & IMRAN WICK(3D Sense Of Humor) - IMRAN™ I had actually enjoyed John Wick 3 a lot more than the first two movies, despite the violence being a little too central to the movie. But my enjoyment of the movie was likely increased by the active, and I mean active, ball-busting (biting?), role two German Shepherd type Belgian Malinois Dogs play in the action sequences. But the coolest thing to me was the badass poster photo of Keanu Reeves and Halle Barry in the desert with the two dogs. I could not arrange for a sexy co-star and a second dog, but I really wanted to spoof the poster with my own version with Kennedy. Since a visit to a desert location was not practical, we decided to do the shoot right outside the home in Apollo Beach, Florida. It also would have taken a year for my hair to grow to Keanu's hair length. It would also have taken minus 20 years for my stubble to be dark as it was in the past. Lacking a time machine, and feeling certain that Keanu Reeves will not feel his chance of getting the next movie are threatened by me, this is the movie poster for.... IMRAN WICK(3D Sense Of Humor). My multi-talented handyman took some great shots with my Nikon D850. Exactly five years ago today. The forever smiling Kennedy in the back. Fast-growing K2 in front had been with us a full five weeks. He was just 13 weeks old in this photo. 

Both German Shepherds were waiting as I was bringing them a treat. They watched me take this photo of them with my own selfie reflection in the sliding door. 

The doubled title words play on there actually being a dual reflection in the double-paned glass. I had to use high contrast to avoid it looking too much like a shaky camera photo.

In all seriousness, for several years I have described to clients how such a blend of mobile 3D printing, just-in-time manufacturing, and real-time-deliveries will enable the reality of such Customized Mobile Retail sooner than we expect.

Crouching K2 Hidden Dragon - IMRAN™ My always playful German Shepherd Dog K2 loves to play predator, especially with my beautiful neighbor family friends’ dog. The Wolfe’s, whose dog Riley ironically isn’t a GSD, had taken care of Kennedy & K2 for 3 days. That was literally two days after I brought K2 home in April 2020. So he is very close to them. Riley is a really sweet and super fast running labradoodle, whom my dogs never could catch in a race. This April (2024) as we were leaving for a walk, K2 saw Riley sitting looking at him from his driveway. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy Esq. GSD & His Love For Other Animals - IMRAN™ In the first few months of my getting Kennedy as a gift, my precious rescue German Shepherd Dog, I walked 25000 steps daily (12.1 miles max one day for me) with him. Until the Florida summer and time constraints made that unsustainable, it became about 10,000 daily steps on average since then. This photo of Kennedy and the bunny just casually watching each other was taken on May 10, 2019. That was exactly 5 years ago from my writing these lines tonight. His care for other animals was mind blowing. He was clearly a young GSD between 3-5 years old then. He loved chasing squirrels up into trees. But then one night during our walk he found a dazed & confused squirrel in the middle of the street. It had likely struck the side of car tyre so it wasn’t bleeding or injured, but in shock. By the time I realized what it was, there was no time to pull in the retractable leash Kennedy was on. I was worried the alpha male predator in him would rip the poor small creature (as he did to a toy squirrel the first night I had him!). Instead, I was stunned as Kennedy nuzzled the shocked and now doubly-surprised squirrel to my neighbor’s grass on the side of the street! We stood for a few minutes watching. Then, sure enough, the little animal got back to its full senses and successfully ran off into the night. Kennedy just had this look of joy on his face as he looked up at me. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy And His Love Of Dolphins - IMRAN™ My precious German Shepherd Dog Kennedy loved horses - a lot. But the only creatures that he fell in love with even more were dolphins. From the very first time he saw a dolphin from the dock of my blessed home on Tampa Bay, Florida, five years ago, he went absolutely wild with joy and excitement. His mad love for them only grew with time. This is a video screenshot from one of the many times the dolphins would even come up close to him playfully. Kennedy was incredibly restrained and almost never barked except for genuine alerts. But he would bark excitedly running back and forth on the dock when he’d hear or see a dolphin. One time he was so fixated and excited he actually went over the edge of the dock right into the water. It was funny to see his almost-embarrassed look when he climbed back up the seawall and came back on the dock. Ironically, the younger more rambunctious GSD K2 waits for dolphins too, but Kennedy’s love was far more vocal and visible. Manatees are mammals too but they didn’t get the same reaction from either dog. Some dolphins seemed to respond to Kennedy with regular approaches to make eye contact. A couple would even sometimes come flip and splash us with water. They likely agreed with me. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy No-Collar No-Tie Grace & Elegance Under Orion’s Belt Pointing Way To His Forever Home - IMRAN™ The very first week my beloved German Shepherd Dog Kennedy came into my life as a Valentine’s Day gift, his love of long walks became apparent. A Dog’s Life: Chauffeured GSD Kennedy Smiling & Remotely Shepherding Farm Animals - IMRAN™ My beloved German Shepherd Dog, Kennedy, was likely raised around cows, other farm animals, and horses before I got him as a rescue, reportedly from Texas. The excited way he would lean out of my car windows on seeing horses or other animals around farms told me there was some deep connection. I would even point out cattle to him as we would be driving somewhere and passed any farms. K2 would be curious but Kennedy would even switch windows seats with K2 to gaze at the animals. On this day, April 4, 2024, I was driving both dogs but specially for Kennedy to see a farm. The mad pace of residential development in our area of the Tampa Bay region has literally decimated the number of real remaining farms. So it was quite a bit of driving around to find one for Kennedy. I then noticed this pasture next to what is likely the owner’s home. I had to turn around down East Shell Point Road. We pulled into the driveway hoping to see someone whom I would ask permission to walk Kennedy and K2 along the fence. Sadly, I didn’t find anyone. As I backed out and went back around the circular driveway, I stopped the car with the best farm view possible. I let Kennedy soak in the sight of the pasture while he was seated as a chauffeured German Shepherd Dog. You can see the afternoon spring sun light up his face. I wondered what puppyhood memories were behind his forever smile, just gazing joyfully at the animals there. I would even point out cattle to him as we would be driving somewhere and passed any farms. K2 would be curious but Kennedy would even switch windows seats with K2 to gaze at the animals. On this day, April 4, 2024, I was driving both dogs but specially for Kennedy to see a farm. The mad pace of residential development in our area of the Tampa Bay region has literally decimated the number of real remaining farms. So it was quite a bit of driving around to find one for Kennedy. I then noticed this pasture next to what is likely the owner’s home. I had to turn around down East Shell Point Road. We pulled into the driveway hoping to see someone whom I would ask permission to walk Kennedy and K2 along the fence. Sadly, I didn’t find anyone. As I backed out and went back around the circular driveway, I stopped the car with the best farm view possible. I let Kennedy soak in the sight of the pasture while he was seated as a chauffeured German Shepherd Dog. You can see the afternoon spring sun light up his face. I wondered what puppyhood memories were behind his forever smile, just gazing joyfully at the animals there. A Dog’s Life: Kennedy And His Love Of Horses - IMRAN™ My precious German Shepherd Dog, Kennedy, was a rescue from Texas. From the way he would almost fall out the car window on seeing horses on farms we would drive past, I realized there was some farm connection. I took him to nearby horse stables early on, nearly 5 years ago. The way he was going round in circles madly in love wanting to get into all the pastures and stalls, and the horses wandering over to get closer to him, confirmed that love affair. So I would take him to see horses when we had a chance. Today, April 5, 2024 I took him to a nearby place to feel his connection again. Gleaming Architecture Of Downtown Tampa, Florida - IMRAN™ Nearly a dozen years living in Apollo Beach, I have not had much time to explore the downtown area of Tampa by foot. Other than a few walks along Riverwalk, most of the actual downtown is still on my list to check out. On this somewhat cloudy day, I was in the area to catch my first Duran Duran concert live. It was also my first event at Amalie Arena. After parking my car, I walked around a bit as I headed to the venue. It was as much people watching as street crossing during the stroll. Even from street level, and with an elevated highway passing in front of them, the beautiful buildings and their gleaming architecture were beautiful to capture. I love Tampa's big small-town and small big-town feel. Baby Sister Ambereen And Me - IMRAN™ Today is my precious sister Ambereen's birthday. Our beloved late parents always gave us so much love and focus on family, I am blessed to retain that connection with her. She is an incredible sister, respected doctor and professor, author of a medical text book, in addition to being an amazing wife and mother in her own family in Lahore, I am not sure of the exact date, but she looks to be about one year old. It may have been spring, because we were outside in the backyard of wherever my father was posted at the time. (Naiwala, Chianwali, or Renala Khurd in Pakistan). We do not seem to be dressed for cold weather nor seem to be melting in the Punjab heat. So, I am guessing it was soon after her birthday. My father was into photography from an early age and would often grab candid casual shots of us, so sometimes they would not be perfectly framed. I think he loved the moment he saw in front of his eyes and captured it on Agfa B/W film with his Argus camera. Saturday Into Sunday Slow Cooker No Hurry Nihari First Time Experiment A Huge Success - IMRAN™ Nihari (from the Urdu/Persisn word Nihar for morning) is a meticulously planned, super-slow cooked, elaborately spiced, tender beef dish infused with the richness of bone marrow. It started in the kitchens of Nawabs (Muslim rulers of princely states in pre-partition India). I got hooked on it growing up in Karachi where the tradition continued in Pakistan. Some places had it in Lahore too. However, in the early 1980s I’d go straight to my favorite place (in the backstreet food places off the intersection of Tariq Road and Allama-Iqbal Road) when I’d visit my late maternal grandmother, who lived in our Karachi home. My absolute non-interest in cooking is globally-known and eternally-established. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t like to use kitchen gadgets to experiment… especially since I got my Philips Air Fryer (awesome for salmon filets) and CrockPot slow cooker. This time I got ambitious, and decided to make Nihari over this mid-Ramadan weekend. Maybe the full moon made me do it. On top of Nihari being hard to make as it is, I decided to do my own version — without firing up any stove, any saucepan, or doing any kind of frying as some stages require. The Stage Is (The) Set - IMRAN™ Yes! Front row seats to Cirque du Soleil, this time for BAZZAR. My first Cirque du Soleil show was the incredible Delerium, which my then-GF in Miami T had taken us to in 2007 or so. Even though those seats were towards the back in the arena show, that concert & circus all in one still remains one of my all-time favorites. That 2-years running show worldwide was ending and was never redone. They never even released a DVD. Since then I’ve taken front row seats for every Cirque show (almost all in different trips to Las Vegas) — except the Beatles one, which I’ve skipped. I jumped on the opportunity to get front row seats to the latest one, BAZZAR, that played under a big top outside Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. I was traveling all that week. I literally managed to fly back into Tampa Airport just an hour or so before showtime, drove straight to the venue, parked, and got seated barely 5 minutes before the show started. Even though the 2-hours long BAZZAR was great fun, to me it was still a fraction as mind-blowing as Delerium was 17 years ago.
