Amazon Is Crushing It. Literally — IMRAN®

Amazon Is Crushing It. Literally — IMRAN®

I’m all in favor of saving costs and packing materials. And Amazon is crushing it. Literally. Unfortunately, not in a good way.

Surely it doesn’t require a rocket‑science degree to know this: Don’t shove big, heavy, toxic carpet‑cleaning chemicals into the same flimsy pouch as a box of cereal and other food items in the name of sustainability.

The cereal’s crunchy clusters were pulverized. The jar was dented — though at least its lid didn’t pop off from the impacts the edible items received from the chemical containers.

Amazon didn’t just deliver the order… it delivered a demolition demo.

“The Dutch” Treat — Salmon & Salad Light Lunch — IMRAN®

“The Dutch” Treat — Salmon & Salad Light Lunch — IMRAN®

A long, challenging Wednesday had already started off on the wrong foot — but at least not foot in mouth. An early‑morning LIRR failure stole two extra hours, created unnecessary drama, and caused me to miss meetings with people who were flying out soon afterward. By the time I finally made it to Manhattan, several back‑to‑back sessions and no breakfast meant hunger was clearly the order of the day.

That made our light working lunch with a few technology leaders at The Dutch — right at the Sullivan and Prince streets intersection — feel especially welcome. It’s a lively spot where our semi‑private corner still felt open to the energy of SoHo. Victoria, our server, was gracious, attentive, and kept the pace just right.

Two of us went for the light salmon over greens, while the others mixed it up with different dishes. My plate was fresh, flavorful, and fairly filling. But as anyone who loves salmon knows, a salmon‑and‑salad combo has a way of making you hungry again a few hours later — which is exactly what happened to both of us who ordered it.

A Dog's Life: Hot (Spicy Pakistani Food Loving German Shepherd) Dogs - One Year Ago Today - IMRAN®

A Dog's Life: Hot (Spicy Pakistani Food Loving German Shepherd) Dogs - One Year Ago Today - IMRAN®
About one year ago I started telling the story of Kennedy in a series of ongoing posts.... "A Dog's Life" was the recurring title phrase. Exactly one year ago today, I captured a moment that carries immense meaning in my heart.
My beloved German Shepherd Dog Kennedy (on the left) and his playful puppy companion K2 shared their love for spicy food—a joyful scene. I had made slow-cooked Pakistani beef (Nihari) with marrow-filled bones, a treat too tempting to keep to myself.
Despite knowing their doggie beds would bear the consequences, I brought the bones to them in my cluttered home office. It was worth every bit of mess to see them savor the flavors and stay close to me.
Kennedy had been facing some struggles those past few days, and in his gaze, you might notice a trace of that. Yet, his indomitable spirit—an eternal part of my soul—shines through in the way he acknowledges the spicy treat with a heartfelt smile.
That moment is a cherished reminder of his incredible strength and love for life. Best Dog Ever!

Silly Amazon Site Error Highlights Future Vision That 3DP+JITM+RTD= MobRet - IMRAN™

Silly Amazon Site Error Highlights Future Vision That 3DP+JITM+RTD= MobRet - IMRAN™

The magical powers of Amazon, or the weakness of poor UX CX software systems quality assurance? Amazon dog food delivery is Available TODAY -- even though the product is Not Available. Maybe the Amazon trucks have mini-factories to manufacture dog food en route to making a delivery.

In all seriousness, for several years I have described to clients how such a blend of mobile 3D printing, just-in-time manufacturing, and real-time-deliveries will enable the reality of such Customized Mobile Retail sooner than we expect.

Human foods are likely among the first use-cases that will go mainstream. The irony, that basically the centuries old street food vendors concept at a far more flexible and gigantic scale is one of the next big things. What else do you think such convergences will create opportunities for?
