Thought For Food: What’s The Least Used Part Of Your House? - IMRAN™ I don’t cook, and I often eat out whether alone or with loved ones. So my dining rooms and dining tables tend to not be used for actual dining regularly. 😃 In my blessed NY home of 30 years my full-glass dining-table is actually covered with piles of about 2000 books & magazines. It’s a miracle it hasn’t shattered under the load. Every NY trip I browse and read about 100 as I eat or just flip through them. but then a new supply arrives. The magazines are winning the battle for space. 😂 Thankfully I have more space in my gratitude-filled Florida home. Plus, I don’t receive much mail and only a few magazines here. So, the dining table here is far less used, sometimes used as a temporary place for my cameras and tech toys. I didn’t even bother to change the not-my-style colors the previous occupants had it ten years ago! But, in general, I’ve stuck to my resolve to avoid making it a massive horizontal library. I usually eat at the kitchen counter, where I have an Apple iPad Pro, a Microsoft laptop, and a Neat vertical Teams frame. That way I can multitask and attend parallel meetings … even as I gulp down but still enjoy whatever food God has blessed me with. I avoid doing that “mini-office” cruelty to this dining room. If I have made a nice steak or had some great Japanese meal delivered, that kind of meal I’ll savor on the dining table, simple and sparse as it is. Sometimes though I’ll just mix things up a bit, to change some colors and add some variety. I just took some random pictures of my current mood and theme for it today. Tampa Bay Times’ news summary had this doubly unfortunate news blurb today, December 27, 2023. “Homicide in Largo: Pinellas deputies have arrested two teenage brothers after shooting and killing their sister on Christmas Eve.” In one sentence, the writer or editor managed to murder grammar, and to accuse the police of murder too. 😳 The real news was that two (pathetic juvenile armed) brothers had a fight about Christmas gifts. They had guns (essential Christmas ornaments in that family apparently). They had a shootout after one brother shot & killed their own sister (a mother of two kids) at gramma’s house. And… later… the police arrested the brothers. Then the writer murdered grammar.
