That’s Hot Honey? That’s Hot, Honey! – IMRAN®
I’ve never been accused of being a vegetable lover. If anything, people assume I avoid them entirely—though I do eat my fair share now, certainly more than I did as a kid.
That said, I somehow developed a tolerance for V8 vegetable juice back in the late ‘90s. If memory serves, it was always a bit of a struggle to gulp down, and the sodium content may have played a role in my eventual break-up with it—especially since I found tomato juice slightly more palatable.
Fast forward to today, and V8 has been experimenting with new blends, adding fruit juices to make their vegetable concoctions more appealing. I’ve enjoyed some of these variations, and while they don’t exactly replace eating actual vegetables, they still feel like a better choice than reaching for yet another Pepsi.
Recently, I stumbled upon V8 Hot Honey, a bold new twist on their classic vegetable juice. This one is spicy, with a sweet kick from honey, and I have to say—I’m enjoying it! I’m not sure how long they’ll keep this blend around, but I figured I’d share it with you all. Have you spotted it in grocery stores? Have you tried it yet?
It’s yet another creation from Campbell Soup Company, which has been around since the 1800s—though I mostly think of them for their soups and snacks, some of which I consume in slightly excessive quantities. If this post somehow helps their sales, maybe I can negotiate a lifetime supply of their limited-edition flavors like Spicy Quesadilla, which I’ve been enjoying a lot lately.
One word of caution—the sodium in V8 drinks has always been something to watch, and this one is no different. If you’re keeping an eye on your salt intake, it might be worth a quick label check before diving in.
What do you think? Would you give V8 Hot Honey a try, or are you sticking to the classics?
