German Shepherds Leap Off 8 Feet Dock With 8 Paws For Duck Chase & Tampa Bay Wading - IMRAN™
At very low tide I get an extended private beach on Tampa Bay at Apollo Beach. Kennedy & K2 had been patiently watching the pair of ducks bathing at the back of the home from the other side of the home, when we returned from a morning walk, and now dockside.
My dock is more than 8 feet above the sand. It’s quite a drop, which would break me if I did it. The German Shepherds looked at each other, as if to say, “Shall we?”
Before I could get my iPhone recording, they both leapt & landed eight feet on the sand below, and off they went. Talk about “jump(running)start”!
The ducks had not expected that bold move. It took them a moment to scamper to deeper water. Kennedy & K2 didn’t care. They weren’t really “hunting”. They just got into running and wading in cold Tampa Bay waters as was their primary interest.

So, here is what happened. Kennedy and K2, my German Shepherd Dogs, were excitedly waiting to go for a walk after eating. Usually they like to go to the dock AFTER the walk, but even though I did not hear any telltale sounds of dolphins nearby, they both raced first to the dock. Kennedy's barking told me dolphins were indeed there. I managed to get to the dock, and sure enough, the day, the dusk, the dolphins, and the dogs did not disappoint.

Even though streaming platforms may not do it justice, this livestream is actually from my super awesome Nikon D850 camera, a gift of a beloved one for my birthday 2 years ago. Since the iPhone 13 Pro Max has such an awesome camera, and it is with me all the time, sometimes I do not get to use this Nikon (or even the now 15 years old D300) as much I would like. Today, as I saw a deep orange color form over the moody sky I decided to do this livestream with the Nikon D850 and it's 4K video. But for file size reasons I only recorded it at regular HD & H.264 compression. The wind-noise reduction is better on this https://youtu.be/MO_wtHQAiUs .
It was a hot Saturday and the 90F felt hotter than usual a few hours ago. Now a strong wind, which makes it hard to be heard on camera, makes the temperature more pleasant but definitely not great for audio commentary. In either case, enjoy a spectacular Tampa Bay, Florida, boating sunset livestream with my German Shepherd Dogs, Kennedy and K2, at the dock of my blessed home this wonderful Saturday. Watch for the full moon too in the night sky!

43 years ago, April 1979, I was preparing to go to the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan for my Electronics Engineering studies there 1980-1984, when ABBA released their album Voulez-Vous. It is French for a risqué-ish (for the era) song meaning "Do You Want?". At that time I was keen on learning German and French was lower on my list of interests, as an I Want To Learn It All.
It was interesting that I got to hear ABBA The Concert (the ABBA tribute group) perform the song when I have been on a daily French lessons streak of nearly 800 days! Ironically, the beautiful, smart, and fabulous Shannon has also taken up French. We are both using DuoLingo on our Apple iPhones.
Check out this iPhone camera video I recorded from seats quite far from the stage at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida when I took Shannon to this concert. I will also post a link to the actual masters of the game, ABBA, the original legend, performing this live with a dancing crowd at the start of the 1980s. You will agree how accurate this group is in honoring ABBA's sound and experience.
So, as I love to have beautiful blue-eyed blondes like Shannon ask me, Voulez-Vous? And, even without having learned French, my lifelong answer has been, Oui!

I am blessed to live in Symphony Isles, a popular neighborhood in Apollo Beach, Florida. Every year the board and various committees, plus individual homeowners, do a great job of holiday decorations.
One night every year the guards open the main gates to the town and all are welcome to drive by to enjoy the lights. Even without any traffic it took me 30-minutes of driving to go past every home.
Enjoy this 3X accelerated hyper-lapse of the drive. If I made it faster, e.g. 400%, then the lights pass by too fast. Even at 3X speed it is easy to miss the detail. But if I did not speed it up, few would have the time to watch the whole thing. So, hopefully this is an optimal balance of speed and duration.
I had wanted to compose an original soundtrack to go with the video but then it may not get done for a long time. So I used one of my existing music tracks, actually one I created for drone flight at Old Inn at Little Harbor about 4 year ago. "Big Sky At Little Harbor" is the tune, and the video is pretty awesome. You will love that too.
Meanwhile, come along for a "high speed" drive (without breaking 20 mph speed limits!) with me and enjoy the sights and lights.

Boats & Ships Pass Breathtaking Tampa Bay Florida Dusk At Apollo Beach Home - IMRAN™
I have not flown my DJI Phantom 4 drone in a long time. But I did manage to do so tonight. I did not get a chance to transfer the images to the computer yet but wanted to post one from the many unpublished ones.
This was from just two months after I had bought the drone in 2016. It was an evening a few days after the 4th of July 2016.
A lit-up boat crosses Tampa Bay towards Apollo Beach, while a ship leaving the Port of Tampa goes in the other direction in the distance.
Magnificent dusk spans the sky as I capture the scene from the drone a few feet above the water. No editing, no filters, no processing at all. Just nature's magic at Maghreb time.
