Scenes From Symphony Isles Apollo Beach Tampa Bay Florida Boat Parade - IMRAN™ Despite it being a weird year in so many ways, it was good to see some traditions continue, especially safe boating with social and nautical distancing. Of course, the occasional naughty gal and nautical vessel under the command of an inebriated loudmouth sailor running aground more than once and almost wiping out my dock is not a tradition I want to see continue. I had not flown the DJI Phantom 4 drone in several months, and the boat parade going past my home was a good reason to fire it up. Boats from my Symphony Isles neighborhood's southern flank, as well as from neighboring communities like Mira Bay, etc. were already heading back home by 8 PM returning from the bay bordering Andalucia and Circles, etc. Enjoy the 450% hyperlapsed 1-minute video to get an aerial view. A quick video through the kitchen sliding door to the pool deck. I was looking at K2, my then 9-weeks old German Shepherd puppy, having a grand time eating a sweet mango. Mango is the king of all fruits, especially if you ever get to eat a genuine Pakistani mango of any of the many incredible varieties there. Kennedy was nearby and had already had his piece.

Orion Crosses The Pre-Dawn Sky Above My Home, As The World Turns - IMRAN™

One of the many magics of the universe that I do not get enough time to savor, study, and share is simply the stunning sky right above our very heads. This was a nearly 4-hours timelapse from about 2-6 AM.

I captured it with the Nikon D850 pointed to the South as Orion crossed the sky above my blessed home in Apollo Beach, Florida. Even here the light pollution from Saint Petersburg to the right makes it harder to see the stars on that side.

It was interesting to see the pre-pre-dawn light breaking over the western sky start to flash to the left of the screen at about 5:30 AM. They were not house lights.

Maybe they were sky angel cops chasing Orion around the universe, flashing red and blue, early in the morning. No matter what light you favor in the elections, red or blue, I am hopeful for the rise of a new dawn, of hope, justice, decency, democracy, and love.

Having been born and raised in Pakistan, but having traveled the world, I know that the mangoes from Punjab in Pakistan are literally the kings of all fruits from anywhere on the planet. Knowing that how could I not introduce my precious new German Shepherd puppy K2 to that fruit? Kennedy had previously had it while being with me. As you can see, K2 was totally into it, when he had been with me one week. The wet doggy bed is from his having been in the swimming pool earlier. Kennedy and K2 both enjoyed their first tastes. 60 Seconds Mind-Blowing Tampa Bay Boating Sunset (Nikon D850 Music Video) - IMRAN™

Two jet skis race by as a cargo container sidles past the exquisite colors of this sunset. Enjoy the 1-minute music video.

Full-fledged DSLR cameras like the Nikon D850 can take some great pictures as you have seen. Video recording ability was one of the reasons I waited for this model. But it is very hard to do handheld casual videos, especially when trying to manually zoom in by rotating the tight barrel of the 70-300mm Nikkor lens.

It leads to a twisting motion on the hand holding the camera, and the video will show those movements. But still, I had wanted to zoom in on the mind-blowing colors of this sunset on Tampa Bay. This was at my blessed home in Apollo Beach, Florida.

Red Hot Memories Of Heavenly Blue Views At Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Bahamas, Caribbean, At Romantic Getaway Spot - IMRAN™ (PG13 text)
A low-resolution video taken in 2007, this has poor quality compared to what we see these days even in cell phones. But it is still enough to show the heavenly views of the Caribbean facing East at the beautiful Coral Sands resort in Eleuthera, Bahamas. The sand there is literally powder soft and pure pink.
One of my then beloved girlfriends loved to travel as much as I did. This was one of the great trips she took us on.
Of the primary colors RGB (red-green-blue), Red was the one that seemed totally absent in this scene. But that is where I come in to add color to life and love.
We made some remarkable red hot deep and intense memories as I had her desire more and more at this spot. The balcony wide open to see and to the sea, glass windows all around, sounds of other couples nearby, the ordinary balcony chair in that instant became a precious loveseat.
A throne for a precious princess to ride to glory oblivious to what public mores against public amore might demand. And that was when the purest passionate pleasures came in unison...
I still recall seeing the blue sea and blue sky in her penetrating blue eyes as she melted in a puddle of desire. What a magical moment, leaving our mark wherever we went and came.
It is interesting how people come and go from our lives. That girl is an ex-GF for more than a dozen years but the memories are always to be cherished for a lifetime. Ironically, this is also where I met and became friends with Suzette who is here on FB and a beloved beautiful friend even today.

A foreboding mood settled on the horizon while the bright blue sky above tried to liven it up below. The deep red bled from the sky was bleeding into the melting gold, like the way men throughout history have shed the blood of others to gain wealth and power. The onshore wind slapped the water into a persistent pattern of little crests and troughs, each a tiny tempest in its own world, yet totally insignificant on the ocean of time. The palm trees danced a frenzied dance wanting to fly responding to the wild wind but rooted forever in the circumstance of their existence. Yet, it all comes together, like a miracle, when all these elements, and forces of light and dark, movement and stillness, unite to hasten the end of the darkness, in preparation for a new day's dawn shared by all of them. All of us. Let us unite again, as Americans, as Pakistanis, as earth-dwellers, and as humans, to start a new chapter before the end of the year.
I hope you enjoy this music video The horizon was a little more darkly cloudy than I would have preferred for it to be a long drawn out colors sunset and dusk. But who am I to complain when the result is still so much to be grateful for. This is a timelapse video made from literally almost 2000 individual photos taken by the Nikon D850. Each image was 25-30 MB so that would have taken forever to process. I just wanted to test how the results would be, so I actually made this from images just 5-10% of the original size.

This year is effectively over. Despite all the craziness, it has flown by. I am still catching up on posting the cite videos and photos of K2. Here he is exactly 9 weeks old. He has known Kennedy a full week, and just like since Day 1, he loves play-fighting. He is taking on Kennedy, my loving and wise older, and at that time much bigger, German Shepherd Dog in a sparring and wrestling match on the dock of my blessed home, where I was watching a sunset and saying my Maghreb prayers and offering gratitude to the Almighty for everything. They say German Shepherd Dogs are very smart. They also are bold and will sometimes push the limits. For example, Kennedy went on to a neighboring dock to get a look towards our home to the right on the water. But K2, the 9 weeks old GSD puppy, seems to literally stop at the NO TRESPASSING sign and then scolds Kennedy when he returns to us. To his credit, you can see Kennedy look down at the sign as if he has just read it for the first time. LOL.

Cuteness Overload Warning - Vicious Puppy K2 "Attacking" Patient Playful German Shepherd Kennedy - IMRAN™ (Part 1) / (In Explore!)

(My 91st post and the first video in Flickr Explore! Part 2 at flic.kr/p/2jKZ5q9 ) This one deserves a cuteness overload warning! Kennedy and K2 had been together for almost one week as I made this video. We had come home from a walk. It was a pleasant night so I sat on a chair to watch vicious GSD puppy K2 constantly attack poor perfectly patient and playful German Shepherd Kennedy. Some of K2's poses will make you think he is a bear. Others will remind you of Muhammad Ali, as he punches and dances, with Kennedy enjoying being his sparring partner as a parent or older brother would, although they had not even completed 7 days of being together. Kennedy is such a smart and wise dog. See how he constantly checks with me to make sure he is not overdoing anything. But he also naturally makes sure not to actually injure the puppy. What a great pair of dogs these two are.

My German Shepherd Kennedy and the brand new puppy had gotten to spend 2-3 days with my neighbors when I had to go away unexpectedly for a few days right after I had gotten the puppy home back in April. After my return, I walked the dogs at the community beach in Symphony Isles, Apollo Beach, Florida. My neighbors and their sweet kids who took care of my dogs also joined us with their very friendly dog, Riley. I call him Riley 2 because Kennedy has a very sweet female pure white English Lab Riley in the neighborhood that he has loved from before meeting Riley2. This was a fun minute or two of clips you will enjoy.

I am sure you will love this story and the video. In earlier episodes of K2's new life story with Kennedy and me in Florida, I had mentioned how literally 2 days after we got home, I had to leave unexpectedly to deal with an emergency. My lovely neighbors and their sweet kids had taken care of both German Shepherds during that time.
When I got back home I had gone inside not knowing that the dogs were apparently downstairs at the garage level. They had apparently felt more at home at, well..., home. After a short while, I had seen the kids across the street and asked them from the front door where my dogs were. They said they were downstairs. We decided to do a little surprise for the dogs as they had not realized I was home upstairs.
I stood to the side of the house while one of the sweet young girls opened the door, while her older sister made the video. Just check out the reactions of Kennedy.
I have had him 14 months. He is used to my being away when I drop him at his favorite dog-host Emily's and her family's home. Last year I had even gone away for nearly 3 weeks during my trip to Pakistan and Kennedy had been happy but completely calm when I picked him up. He NEVER jumps on anyone.
But this time he had sensed that I had gone away somehow differently. This was his reaction after my being away just 2 days even though he had been super-chill every time I came back after even 3 weeks. You can literally see and hear him reprimand me for my absence. What is fun to also watch is how even K2 gets into the mood.
The video would have been longer but my next-door neighbor saw this taking place. Instead of quietly watching the video being made, she walked over talking about the dogs, which made them turn their attention to the disturbance, and the recording was stopped.
I wish this video had been 2-3 minutes longer, but the sheer love and intelligence of these incredible creatures is nothing short of... Priceless!

It is ironic, and purely coincidental, that I am posting this video of a storm passing through Tampa Bay on April 20, 2020, today on August 23, 2020, when not one but two hurricanes are going to hit the Gulf of Mexico.  It is just the timing of my catching up to pending posts and stories of K2's new life with me. 

It is actually the saved video of a FaceBook livestream I had done from the dock. There was a storm raging and I had gone for a walk with Kennedy and the puppy K2. On returning home, I took them both to the dock.  I captured this video of the rolling waves, and of Kennedy barking at the waves thinking there were dolphins inside them. 

This was definitely not a jet-skiing day with 2 dogs on the vessel with me. :-) I had kept K2 to the side to avoid him accidentally getting stepped on or falling in the water. Soon after this video, I had to leave for 2 days due to an emergency. Hence, this was the storm before the storm. More on that story later.

K2 was literally 8 weeks old in this clip but completely fearless. This was also literally within 12 hours of us getting to Apollo Beach, Florida - his new home. Notice how Kennedy is both amused and playful, but also careful to not hurt the puppy.

Powerful and smart men lose their heads and their positions as heads of orgs when they act with their other heads even with "Are you kidding me, he was screwing Her?!" type women. From Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinsky, to people like the ones mentioned here, men keep doing the part by doing the women who are doing them to get the part(s).

Here is another of those stories, reported by Variety magazine. In this case, forgive my saying so, this barely tolerable, almost masculine-looking, and clearly "sleeping her way everywhere" woman was definitely not worth any of the idiots losing what they had built over their lifetimes. Plus the hurt they probably caused their families. That is just more men being more stupid than is necessary, IMHO.

Bring On The End Of (Dark) Days, Let's Reach For These (Bright) Stars - IMRAN™
What an amazing time to be alive... despite CoronaVirus, and Dark Days Of Drumpf Nazism, and fascism-inspired religious-bigotry-coated hate-mongering. Check out this amazing discovery, predicted by a scientist 40 years ago, made now by two private citizen stargazers.
Two stars that rotate around each other every 36 hours or so... Talk about zipping through space... But what is more incredible is how one of the stars, not a small rock, or comet, but an actual star, is a shape-shifter, likely responding to the attraction (gravity, in this case, nothing romantic or sexual, at least that I know of!) of the other.
What more will we be blessed to see discovered in our lifetimes? Assuming ignorant fools blowing off the threat of pandemics, or even bigger morons trying to hasten an "end of days", don't get us all killed. Vile power-grabbers or merely under-educated intellectually-challenged ones, spreading ignorance ad spewing hatred, instead of working together to solve world problems. But news like this shows us that we shall endure.
Fortunately, there are many more people from all nations and all races, all creeds and all religions, working hard to ensure that we, as a race, the human race, not black, brown, white, yellow, purple, or any other color races, but as the single united human race, not only make this the greatest planet ever created by the Big Bang (and by the even bigger creator of bangs somewhere even further out there!) but even reach beyond the stars... to boldly go where no (hu)man has gone before.
Now that is something all human hearts should pulse for, just like this newly discovered star. What do you think?

Don't Think (And) You'll Live Forever! - IMRAN™

I will be honest. I have never dreamed of living forever. Life would be so boring. It would take away the drive to achieve what I can, to change the world (for the better) any way I can, to savor every moment of magic in nature, and every trembling moment of ecstacy with a beloved, if our lives on earth were not time-limited. 

At the same time, it had always seemed ironic and tragic to me that some of the worst people on the planet lived the longest lives, especially horrendous politicians. Think Ghaffar Khan and Wali Khan in Pakistan, Dick Cheney in the USA, and many others around the planet. 

In parallel, it seemed like the very country that the rest of the world's people spend their life savings to come for higher education, the United States, has become a place where people embrace ignorance and parents seem to prefer their kids to be future burger-flippers and sewer-cleaners rather than doctors, engineers, and more. People in the land that sent man to the moon now have to be convinced the earth is NOT flat, and that dinosaurs were not around at the time of Jesus, on a planet that is definitely older than 5000 years! 

Meanwhile, in countries like Pakistan too, on the opposite end of the economic and religious spectrum, it is the illiterate, poverty stricken who also tend to have the most children. And the vile fundamentalists and terrorists, often funded by the Saudi-friends of Donald Trump and George W. Bush (not to mention Obama and all US presidents), are the ones who blow up children in schools, in the name of Islam. How doubly and horribly ironic and tragic that the VERY first word revealed to Prophet Muhammad was not Jihad, or prayers, or Mecca, or preach, but Iqra, ...READ! 

NOW comes scientific research that... excuse my saying this... I F(*&ING hope AND pray is proven wrong.

See 7 (Seas) Dolphins & A Stingray Together In Drone Flying Livestream With Kennedy At Tampa Bay Florida Sunset - IMRAN™

You will LOVE this music video created out of a longer livestream but sped up, but giving you perfect views of magical creatures. The music is my original composition, Rendezvous Plan, which is for my second music album. Here is the background of the video. It was still an hour before sunset when I saw some dolphins pass by my dock. By the time I got my drone from inside, got it going, and airborne, the dolphins had split into two groups. One went west in the shallow area and a group of seven went north, which is what I tracked in the drone flight livestream. On the iPhone X screen it was difficult to see if there were five or six dolphins. My friend Ronah, watching the livestream, posted a comment that she saw six. Later, I watched the recorded video on a larger monitor and in this one moment I saw seven dolphins, as a couple became more visible a couple were going deeper into the water made brackish by a month of torrential rains. Throwing The Book (Of Opinions) On "Will Print Media Survive?" - IMRAN™
This is one of the questions I have seen asked for my literally 3 decades spent living in America (this coming week!) The irony of this question is that the words print and media have some overlap. Media, as in the industry encompassing information, news, knowledge, views, commentary, and print, a medium of distributing that content.
So, if the question is, will the “media” (industry) survive…… indeed, the answer is Yes, the real problem of fascism style labeling of real news as fake news and real(ly) fake news as (alternative?) facts notwithstanding, Will PRINT as a medium used by the media (industry) survive, is a more complex one. In the long run (when we are all dead anyway, as John Maynard Keynes said and wrote, ironically, in print, a long time ago), the pace of innovation, the sheer volume of information and knowledge, the staggering number of content types, content creators, and content creators, will make it practically impossible to rely on printed paper as the mainstream mass-use medium.
There are not enough trees, one could say, to sustain that volume of paper production, without destroying the remaining forests of the planet, regardless of how much reforestation gets done. Also, if we look at the real long run, when increasing numbers of us will be able to explore space travel, there is just no practical sense in bringing printing equipment on space rockets and even spaceships, much less trees and other plant forms to produce traditional paper. Plus, the amount of information we are already used to having at our fingertips just would not translate into printed paper as a practical means to carry it around.
Having said that, however, I will also say this, or as another great mind said last century or even earlier, predictions of the death of paper/print are exaggerated. When computers came on the scene, with dot matrix, inkjet, laser and color laser printers soon following, the actual production and consumption of paper grew massively.
That rate of growth, especially in a planet starved of space to store the paper, or grow the raw materials for paper, plus a species (not)hell-bound on finding new places to live on in space, will not be sustainable. So, I see traditional, especially high quality paper based printing becoming a growth industry, where the vanity of having a hardbound book rather than just being the author of an eBook, will ensure its survival for a while, much like vinyl albums are still around despite higher resolution audio sampling of today’s digital music libraries fitting in our back pockets.
Another interesting twist may be the very notion of paper to be printed on. If the current pace of innovation continues, what is to keep us from not having literally infinite printed books, where the actual electronic screens become so thin and so embedded into plant and forest based paper pages, that we could still be holding a paper book or two in hand, where flipping pages gives the tactile experience we are used to for millennia, but with all the words of the universe surrounding us in an invisible omnipresent network.
