I never had the pleasure of seeing the towers myself but I wish I had.
As for today's post, I agree more support should be given to the military families. It is even worse here. At least your soldiers are properly equipped. Anyone remember green camo in the desert?guttergirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02913065366524675239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1147493671841082132006-05-13T00:14:00.000-04:002006-05-13T00:14:00.000-04:00Great comment, thanks.Great comment, thanks.IMRAN™https://www.blogger.com/profile/03919552891874811342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1147490485221246132006-05-12T23:21:00.000-04:002006-05-12T23:21:00.000-04:00I am disappointed that not more attention is direc...I am disappointed that not more attention is directed at the families of our fallen heroes of war. They too suffer greatly and actually they suffer far more in some respects. The families left behind receive a paltry life insurance when their loved one does not return home. And if the spouse does not already have a job / income what happens to them? Some thanks, Uncle Sam. What about the children of those families, why are some of them on welfare? Why can we not take care of our own? What is wrong with us that we spend so much time, energy and resources worrying about how much to spend on a monument and where to place it when some of the families of our men and women who are fighting for our freedom cannot even afford food or electricty. I thought we were the greatest nation on earth, but we spend more time and money on our beloved that have died and do not seem to care about the living who need our help. We as a society have become desensitized and immune to the plight facing so many of our fellow Americans. But the most important topic that everyone wants to discuss ---- a costly monument! It is sad how we choose to treat and honor those who take the greatest risk of all - life.

Perhaps the best gift we could give in memory of the victims of 9/11 is to use the funds instead for the families of the armed services personnel who need help getting back on their feet and for their children so that they can get the education they deserve. Isn't it time we start to look forward at our future, our next generation instead of continuing to live in the past?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1147400695927543132006-05-11T22:24:00.000-04:002006-05-11T22:24:00.000-04:00Uhh...OK. But this enemy is not invisible, there are plenty of photographs of this enemy being trained by CIA operatives IN Afghanistan under George Bush Sr. We created them, they killed Soviets, they were heroes, they turned on us as mad dogs and they are evil.

But, regardless of the politics, the point is, our soldiers and their families ask nothing of us - these 9/11 families are like spoiled children. Time for them to shup up and move on, and time for us to honor our fallen soldiers.

ImranIMRAN™https://www.blogger.com/profile/03919552891874811342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1147395421345264662006-05-11T20:57:00.000-04:002006-05-11T20:57:00.000-04:00I agree, let's all honor our fallen soldiers who h...I agree, let's all honor our fallen soldiers who have died in a war that is waged against an invisible entity named "terrorism". Let us bemoan the men and women who must face the challenges of facing this unseen enemy every day on national television as they spit in the face of freedom and democracy. It is true that they hate us for our freedom. May every fallen soldier rise up in spirit to condemn these evil bastards who have perpetrated this monstrous crime against humanity.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10248241.post-1147222109098593372006-05-09T20:48:00.000-04:002006-05-09T20:48:00.000-04:00Damn Straight.Damn Straight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
